Log: Swim Pacific

[DAY 134] Swimming with my nephew

Today my nephew Paul and Ty were on the dinghy. We had good conditions and I didn’t feel my little cuts under my right armpit most of the day.
I kept the same feeding strategy as the previous days to give me longer swimming blocks; I made fewer stops, I stayed as long as possible at the same pace, and I mentally focused on the subject for a longer time.
When I swim, stopping is very easy to do, starting on the other end is more challenging for me. Each time I stop, my body gets cold and I get out of my rhythm and it makes it difficult to resume swimming. The fewer starts I have the better.
For the last hour, Paul joined me. He first used a pair of goggles with the snorkel but he found it difficult to inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nose, so he then switched to a full mask. It was the first time he and I swam in the Pacific together, a great way to end the day!
