Ben Lecomte is just hours from his final destination at the beach south of Port Maria, Quiberon, France. When Ben alights on the shores of France, he will have completed swimming more than 3,736 statute miles across the North Atlantic in memory of his deceased father. His later arrival was determined by the incoming tide and anticipated winds from the north east slowing his progress.
Ben notes, “I cannot quite believe it…I swim and swim and then, boom, I’m home with my friends and family!”
Ben will arrive at Port Maria, Quiberon, on the beach just south of the peninsula, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. France time (-6.0 hours USA eastern standard time).
